Rock Climbing at Joshua Tree National Park in California

Joshua Tree National Park in California straddles two deserts: Mojave Desert and Colorado Desert. The park got its name from the unique Joshua Trees (Yucca brevifolia) that fill the more than 1,200 square miles. The boulder rocks makes Joshua Tree NP a rock climbers' destination. Climbing routes range in difficulty and climbing tours and lessons are available.
