Ramón Olivas, assistant distiller at Hamilton Distillers, chops hard mesquite wood at the Tucson-based distillery. Malt dried over mesquite fire is what makes Whiskey Del Bac Dorado so unique.

Hamilton Distillers, makers of Whiskey Del Bac, is the first craft distillery in Southern Arizona since prohibition. The company produces three distinct single malt whiskeys, including Whiskey Del Bac Dorado which is malted over mesquite.

The distillery offers tours and tastings on Saturdays at 3 p.m
